Industry Practices
Over the past 30 years, Frank Lynn & Associates has been involved in over 2,500 engagements serving a diverse group of manufacturers. This broad base of experience has given our firm a diverse perspective and an understanding of channel dynamics that most specialized firms can never achieve.
In additon, we have drilled deeply into three industries-industrial, construction and technology-and developed practices with significant expertise in each market's buying behavior, channel structure and product/technology trends.
Each industry practice is led by one of the firm's Principals and supported by a team of consultants with deep industry experience. The objectives of our industry practices are to help clients understand unique industry conditions, exploit emerging industry trends and reduce their time-to-market.
In 1973, Frank Lynn founded the company and, based on his engineering background, developed a strong Industrial Practice. The Technology Practice grew out of our in-depth work with IBM in 1980 to develop the channel strategy to launch the original IBM PC. Frank Lynn & Associates' Building & Construction Practice was formed in 1989 and is now the leading channel consulting team for manufacturers of building materials, equipment and supplies. The Healthcare Practice was officially formed in 2010 after several assignments had been completed for medical device manufacturers and consumable suppliers.
